The Vento Medusa 83799 kit is designed for windfoiling in medium-low wind conditions and it's an excellent choice for freeride and soft freestyle
The front wing (WM899) has been designed in collaboration with the pro rider Balz Muller and features a medium aspect ratio and compact size, providing incredible agility and maneuverability. The relatively high profile of the wing ensures a very good lift, making it easy to take-off after an air maneuver. The mast (M93K) has a balanced profile, providing a smooth and fast ride without sacrificing stiffness. The gullwing shape stabilizer (S430) provides excellent control without sacrificing maneuverability.

The tail wing also uses a saddle system. An angle spacer sits between the wing and the fuselage. Changing the angle spacers allows the rider to adjust tail wing angle to optimise performance based on wind speed and the desired flying configuration: more power or more control.

Evolutive freeride
The Wind 85 has one goal: to make windsurfing foil accessible to the greatest number. We have taken over the elements that made the AFS-2 successful, improving them with the major changes made to our new Wind 95 and 105 models.
The profiles of the mast and the front wings are the same as on the Wind 95, The shaft measures 85cm, ideal height to begin without undergoing the touches with the chop. The wings are accessible and fast. This foil is evolutionary and can be upgraded with all the wings of the AFS range.
We also worked on a new construction to propose an accessible price, still in full composite, without aluminum inside. Your foil will be strong, durable, and will flight for a long time.

Severne Redwing 1200 Front Wing
- Performance: Reviewers from Surf Magazine note the 1200 foil needs only a very low speed to take off and provides outstanding flight stability. It is described as "fun enough to keep you foiling into gybes, 360's and beyond". While it delivers a decent freeride speed, its focus is on comfort and easy early foiling rather than raw speed.
- Target User:Â This wing is recommended for freeride or intermediate foiling, offering excellent balance between maneuverability and lift.
- Compatibility:Â The Redwing system is designed to work in harmony with Severne's specific boards like the Severne Alien and Predator series. Reviewers found that mixing the Redwing foil with boards from other brands could result in an unbalanced setup. The deep tuttle head has a plate adaptor which is considered a good solution for a guaranteed fit in various board boxes.
- Safety Features:Â Severne designed the foil with safety in mind. All wingtips are rounded and curved downwards, away from kicking feet. The system also uses two distinct bolt types (short for wings, long for the mast) to prevent accidental misplacement during assembly.
